  1. Hi! Found your site via Two Go Round-the-World… I guess it’s pretty common to want to get out and travel when you live in Winnipeg! We’re planning on leaving for our trip in September… perhaps our paths will cross on the road. Happy travels! (P.S. I see you’re about to go to Japan – I had the best time in Tokyo last year and did a few posts about it, if you’re interested!)

  2. Great blog you’ve got going here!

I’m actually headed down to Argentina (which I believe is a place you know pretty well, Gadi) to live for four months…any suggestions there (particularly for Buenos Aires)? I’ll be taking a look around the blog for more info, but I thought I would ask in case there was a particular insight you had to share :)

    • Hey Colin
Thanks for visiting our blog. Buenos Aires has lots to offer. We spent about two weeks there and my wife said that it wasn’t enough.

The nightlife is great. As most South American countries the night starts around 12 o 1AM and doesn’t end until the early morning.

The are lots of museums to see and lots of cultural things to do.

If you like sports you can sign up for a team or just a class in soccer, rugby, tennis, polo, and much more.

My wife and I agree that Argentinean woman are very beautiful so you should join some sort of social activity.

If time permits you should go to the beach if you are there during the summer. The beach is about 5hrs away so most locals rent an apartment for about 15 days at their favourite beach town in the Buenos Aires province (I have been to Mar del Plata, Villa Gesel, Carilo and Miramar). You can also take the ferry for the weekend to Uruguay.

The rest of the country is also beautiful. You can do skiing or hiking and lots more.

Let me know if you need for info, I will be glad to help you out.
